This has been a good year.

It’s only mid-season by my reckoning, and the garden is just starting to get crazy productive. But we’ve already had an amazing spring and early summer.

Brussels sprouts greens. Strawberries. Endive. Escarole. Lettuce. Beets. Carrots and carrot tops. Garlic and garlic scapes. Kale. Swiss chard. Kohlrabi. Arugula. Green onions. Yellow squash. And even a not-quite-ripe grape here and there.

We haven’t even hit tomato time, or winter squash, or sweet potatoes. But it’s already been a bountiful year. We’ve essentially been eating vegetables out of our garden, with a very few purchased things here and there, since May. This makes me very, very happy.

We are blessed indeed.
