This is what summer tastes like!
- Local tomatoes from Wilson’s and Hy-Vee
- Homegrown garlic
- Homegrown basil
- Local Ancient Grains bread from Uprise
I used this recipe – but only kind of. I used its ingredients and amounts, but didn’t bother with removing the skins from the tomatoes or any of that nonsense. I just chopped everything up and mixed it together, then spread it on Ancient Grains bread that I’d cooked in butter in a pan on the stove. YUM.
