We picked another 2.9 pounds of strawberries tonight. That brings us to a total of over 16 pounds in 4 weeks. There are still more coming, but they seem to be thinning out.

We had a stretch of a couple weeks without rain, which helped a ton with the fruit rot. We have nearly zero rot now. What we have instead are little bugs that eat holes in the sides of the berries. They damage less than the rot, though.

I’m totally digging my garden hod from Johnny’s. What a useful piece of gardening equipment. You can pick directly into it and then run the whole thing under water to rinse everything off. Clever!
